Every Donation Counts

An undertaking as massive as the magnificent ship itself, can only be accomplished with your help.  Your tax deductible donation to the JFK CV-67 Memorial Foundation will flow directly to the general operating budget - enabling the strategic development, studies, research, plan development, marketing, lobbying, architectural and engineering design work and other vital tasks that bear directly on the outcome of our efforts.

With a total fundraising goal of $50 million, the JFK CV-67 Memorial Foundation's preservation plan includes a one-of-a-kind permanent dry-dock home (ultimately filled with fresh water) for the ship, as well as visitor “creature comforts” including state of the art air conditioning and fire suppression systems, escalators and elevators to increase accessibility and move visitors safely and conveniently about the ship/museum and an essential shoreside power supply system, among countless other needs.  A full complement of equipment rental inventory will be acquired to support the meeting and special catered-event needs of corporate conventions and meetings whose “off-sites” can be hosted during evening hours (for groups as large as 4,000), whether on the flight deck with a view to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond or in the hangar bay.  The revenue generated from events such as these will fund the general maintenance and operations of the museum, as well as educational programs and other community-centric opportunities.

Every aspect of fundraising is tied directly to the creation and development of the plan required to convince the Secretary of the Navy to make the ship available to the Foundation through the Navy Ships Donation Program.  The business plan must clearly articulate a path to positive cash-flow from which the vessel will be cared for, to the Navy's highest standards, in perpetuity.

The Foundation cannot reach its ultimate fundraising goal without the participation of all those interested in preserving this symbol of our nation’s heritage and making her available to future generations.  Donations in all amounts are welcome and greatly appreciated, and are accepted in honor, in remembrance, or in memory of loved ones.
